PRIZES
Submissions will be broken up into the following 6 categories (each will produce a winner):
- UNSCRIPTED COMEDY
- SCRIPTED COMEDY
- UNSCRIPTED DRAMA*
- SCRIPTED DRAMA*
- ANIMATION (Narrative)
- MIXED MEDIA (Spec Commercials, Motion Graphics, Music Videos, Experimental…)
*Drama is a broad category covering everything that is NOT comedy.
FINALISTS
Finalists will be selected for overall quality of work, in addition to the project’s potential for becoming viable television content.
Note: 5 additional finalists will be chosen by viewers.

This Panel of Industry Leaders will choose the WINNERS.

GRAND PRIZE (All categories eligible)
EXPOSURE – TRIP TO HOLLYWOOD – NexTv GRANT
1. EXPOSURE
THE GRAND PRIZE WINNER (as well as the BEST-IN-CATEGORY WINNERS) will be announced in a press release that will be delivered to the personal email boxes of over 10,000 industry professionals, including 100 of the top executives in Hollywood. This includes executives from:
- The top agencies/agents (CAA, ICM, GERSH, etc…),
- ALL the ‘major’ Studios & Networks (DISNEY to PARAMOUNT, NBC to FOX, etc…)
- The ‘mini-major’ studios (LIONSGATE, etc…),
- Top Production Companies (JJ Abrams’ BAD ROBOT, Bruckheimer TV, etc…),
- Also, Television Creators, Casting Directors, Writers, Directors, and many more….
2. TRIP TO HOLLYWOOD:
We will fly you to the heart of the film and tv industry**, then put you up in a luxury hotel. You will be COACHED on how best to handle high-level industry meetings and how to effectively pitch you work. You will then be taken to HIGH-LEVEL INDUSTRY MEETINGS around town where you will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with agents and execs. Finally, your winning project will be screened for an audience of Industry Professionals; decision-makers who can truly impact your career (agents, execs, directors, producers, writers, actors and others).
3. NEXTV GRANT:
At our live awards ceremony, sponsored by Herman Miller, you will be presented with the NEXTV GRANT for INDIE CONTENT-CREATORS. This grant has been designed to provide CASH, Goods and Services to help execute your next project. Last year we built this up to a value of over $140,000 (we will try to exceed our previous efforts)… Sponsorship deals are being signed, so please check back for updates and specifics. 4. CATEGORY WINNERS
In addition to unprecedented EXPOSURE (see above), category winners will all receive essential filmmaking software like ToonBoom’s Storyboard Pro worth $900.
5. ANIMATION
Animation Winner will be chosen by CEOs, EVPs and VPs of the top animation companies in the industry. They will also receive Toon Boom’s Storyboard Pro + Toon Boom’s Animate Pro (worth $3,000). This is the industry’s elite 2-D animation software package used by studios and top individual animators alike.
